Ribery won't play the UCL Final at Bernabeu

On Monday 17th, the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has issued its final decision regarding the appeal lodged by Ribery and Bayern Munchen against the decision taken on May 5th by the UEFA appeal body; decision that confirmed the three match suspension imposed to the French player on the disciplinary procedure initiated after the champions league semifinal 1st leg.

The CAS has dismissed the appeal and confirmed the three-game suspension. In consequence, Franck Ribery will not be eligible to play in the final of the 2010 Champions League. He will have to wait until next season to visit Bernabeu Stadium, by signing with the “Merengue Team” or other spanish team (Barcelona) or may be meeting them in the Uefa Champions League 2010 – 2011. It HAS TO BE very bad news for the germans.

The decision will be published soon.
